SkinDeep Launch Party! – Sunday 29th May 2011
ISG member, Laura Levy, organises various events with the project name SkinDeep. Laura’s son Mekhi was born in 2010 with ichthyosis. Laura soon began campaigning to raise awareness and funds to help support those affected by the condition and to aid research into this rare condition.
The objective of the SkinDeep Fundraising Project is to raise money for those professors currently working on treatments for ichthyosis, raise money for the Ichthyosis Support Group, who do a fantastic job as the place to go for information and support, and to create awareness as we go.
Money is raised through SkinDeep Events – the aim is to have at least one event every month for your entertainment. Money is also raised through SkinDeep Fundraising – sponsored activities completed by those keen to support our cause. A massive thank you to all of you!
Laura was interviewed on ITV Anglia where she talked about the condition and her fundraising. Watch online.
Join the Launch Party on Sunday 29th May. Come help celebrate and launch SkinDeep. A free champagne reception will start the proceedings followed by a buffet, after that the bar will be available to purchase food and drink (food until 6pm).
