The Ichthyosis Support Group (ISG) is committed to supporting individuals and families in the UK affected by ichthyosis and related conditions.  Becoming a member of the ISG makes it easier for us to stay in touch and share with you relevant information and for you to access the services we provide, including events.

If you are already a member and need to change your address or contact information please fill out our Change of Details Form.

Membership is free and entitles you to a number of benefits including:

  • Events for members and families
  • Residential camps for children affected by ichthyosis
  • Advice, support and signposting
  • Newsletters and e-newsletters
  • Local and national fundraising events
  • Access to our Medical Advisory Board
  • Current research and research studies
  • Information on, and the opportunity to evaluate new products.
  • Invitations to local and regional meetings as well as the Annual Members' Event

You can become a member of the ISG if you:

  • Have ichthyosis or a related condition
  • Are a parent/carer, partner or relative of someone with ichthyosis

or are working with ichthyosis:

  • As a healthcare professional
  • As a researcher specialising in ichthyosis
  • Or support a person with ichthyosis in an education setting or workplace

We have found that having this support network lessens the feelings of isolation so often felt by families and sufferers of ichthyosis.  Often people do not feel they need the support of others for various reasons, but our members cannot emphasise enough the knowledge and understanding they gain from other families experiencing similar situations to themselves.
